Education:
Born and raised in Dumas, Dr. Baer graduated from Dumas High School. He graduated from Texas Tech University in the honors program and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas in Houston, where he received the outstanding undergraduate award in periodontics.

Internship:
Served two years as a captain in the United States Army Dental Corps with the 101st Airborne Division from 1964 to 1966; one year as the periodontist for Ft. Campbell, KY; and one year in a rotating internship of operative dentistry, removable restorations, fixed restorations, and oral surgery. Dr. Baer is actively involved in the community. He was a co-founder of the Dumas Satellite School under MHMR (Mental Health/Mental Retardation).

Office Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Dr. Baer is a member of the Dumas Noon Lions, past master of the Dumas Masonic Lodge, past president of the Golden Spread Scottish Rite Association, and has been involved in a variety of other clubs and organizations, both as a leader and a member. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Panhandle District Dental Association. Dr. Baer has served as secretary/treasurer, president-elect and as chief of the medical staff of Memorial Hospital.
