• The Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Awards honors Texas hospitals that are performing quality initiatives aimed at improving outcomes in patient care by recognizing those hospitals that have improved their performance on specific national quality measures.

• Studer Group® is an organization that works with over 800 healthcare organizations in the U.S. and beyond, teaching them how to achieve, sustain, and accelerate exceptional clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.  StuderGroup awards one rural organization and one urban organization the Healthcare Organization of the Month based on the organization’s performance.  This year, MCHD currently ranks #1 of all Studer partner organizations, urban and rural, and has been selected as the Healthcare Organization of the Month for May 2013.

 

 

Employee Satisfaction Scores

• MCHD ranked in the 88th percentile in the April 2016 Employee Satisfaction survey as per the Press Ganey database of over 700 hospitals.

• MCHD ranked in the 94th percentile in the October 2014 Employee Satisfaction survey as per the Press Ganey database of over 700 hospitals.  Though scores went down from previous year, they remained in the top 10 percentile in the nation

• MCHD ranked in the 97th percentile in the April 2013 Employee Satisfaction survey as per the Press Ganey database of over 700 hospitals.  Scores went up 55 percentile points from the previous survey results of the 42nd percentile in 2011.

 

 

2013 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for Employee Engagement

• The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a health care industry symbol of achievement. Fewer than 5% of all Press Ganey clients reach this threshold and consistently maintain it for the one year reporting period. Press Ganey partners with more than 10,000 health care facilities, including more than half of all U.S. hospitals, to measure and improve the patient experience.

 

 

Home Health HomeCare Elite Award

• The HomeCare Elite was compiled using publicly available data from the CMS Home Health Compare and CMS cost reports. The HomeCare Elite also recognizes the Top 100 and Top 500 providers nationwide. Now in its tenth year, the HomeCare Elite™ recognition program lists the top 25 percent of home health agencies in the country.

• Memorial Home Health Received the award in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.

 

 

Texas State House of Representatives Resolution

• MCHD received an unsolicited Resolution from the Texas State House of Representatives commending it for its quality performance and patient safety

S3 Scores

• MCHD ranks in the top 25th percent of hospitals nationwide in Joint Commission S3 Score.  S3 scores are based on an organizations performance in fourteen Primary Focus Areas.  MCHD is currently outperforming the national average, the Texas average, the Region Average, Magnet hospitals, and Thompson Routers 100 Top Hospitals (BSA falls into this category.)

 

 

Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

• Awarded five stars from Medicare/Medicaid in 2014 and 2016.

 

 

MNRC State Survey

• In 2014, and 2016 Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (MCHD’s Nursing Home) received a clinically deficiency-free State survey.

• In 2014, 2015, and 2016 MNRC received a deficiency-free life safety survey

 

 

Joint Commission

• MCHD is Joint Commission Accredited

 

 

Dietary Survey

• MCHD Dietary Department received a deficiency-free Department of Health Survey in February 2015

• MCHD Dietary Department received a deficiency-free TDHS survey for the nursing home for food services

 

 

Obstetrics Department

• MCHD Obstetrics Department received an Award for Excellence in December 2012 from the Texas Department of State Health Services for participation in the ImmTrac program

• MCHD Obstetrics Department has a Distinguished TEHDI Certification

 

 

Health Information Management

Recognized for high performance in paternal designation in 2016

 

 

Memorial Hospice

• Memorial Hospice received a deficiency-free State Survey the previous two surveys.

• Memorial Hospice is currently at 100% in reducing patient pain within 48 hours

 

 

Memorial Home Health

• Memorial Home Health received a deficiency-free State survey three years in a row

 

 

Imaging Services

• MCHD Radiology Department has 9 of 11 technologists who have received national credentialing in CT

• MCHD Radiology Department has 2 (almost 3) nationally registered ultrasound techs (more than most other facilities in the Panhandle other than vascular credentialing

• MCHD Radiology Department has 2 nationally registered MRI technologists

• Entirely digital imaging department

 

 

Electronic Medical Records

• MCHD has successfully attested all phases for government mandated Electronic Medical Records.
